2- Establishes and develops sister-city and friendship-city relations with cities in Asian countries and regions;
3- Guides and coordinates the foreign affair works, such as exchanges and cooperation of all government departments in Xiamen with Asian countries and regions;
4- Coordinates the etiquette and translation of government official-related foreign affair activities concerning Asian countries and regions;
5- Contacts Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and undertakes routine work of Xiamen People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.
