1- Receives State guests, Party guests and other important guests from European and African countries and regions in Xiamen;
2- Establishes and develops sister-city and friendship-city relations with cities in European and African countries and regions;
3- Guides and coordinates the foreign affair works, such as exchanges and cooperation of all government departments in Xiamen with European and African countries and regions;
4- Coordinates the etiquette and translation of government official-related foreign affair activities concerning European and African countries and regions.
China has decided to extend its visa waiver policy to ordinary passport holders from Canada and the United Kingdom starting from Feb 17.
