Consulate General of the Republic of the Philippines in Xiamen

The Consulate General of the Republic of the Philippines in Xiamen was founded in January 1995. The first consul general was Benito B Valeriano, while others include Renato L Villapando, Ma Corazon Yap-Bahjin, Emelinda Lee-Pineda, Raul S. Hernandez, Adelio Angelito S. Cruz, and Julius Caesar Aragon Flores. The current consul general is Maria Antonina Mendoza Oblena.

In May 1997, the consulate general was expanded to take charge of matters concerning Fujian and Jiangxi provinces. 

Since 1995, the consulate general has worked to promote friendship and cooperation between Xiamen and the Philippines, including organizing visits by Philippine officials to Xiamen and offering services for Chinese Filipinos interested in learning Chinese culture in Xiamen.
