Starting from 10 a.m. on August 13, 2021, all lockdown measures have been lifted in Yuanquan Shanzhuang Block A (1-20 Qianpu Liuli) and Qianpu She of Lianqian Community in Lianqian Sub-district, Siming District, which have been reclassified to low risk areas. Thereafter, the whole city of Xiamen is declared low risk.
After the outbreak, all people in Xiamen, especially residents living in the designated quarantine facilities and the lockdown communities, have been very supportive, understanding and cooperative towards the response efforts. Our medical workers, Party members and officials, primary-level community workers, and the many volunteers have stepped up to their responsibilities, fought bravely on the front line, and made enormous sacrifice. All this has once again demonstrated our people's dedication to protecting the welfare of Xiamen, a resilient and culturally-advanced city which always puts its people front and center, under the motto of "We are Xiamen". To each and every one of you who have pitched in and done your part, we extend to you our sincere appreciation and utmost tribute!
Given the grim and complex COVID-19 situation worldwide, we must not slacken our efforts in preventing inbound transmission and domestic resurgence. We urge our people to never relax in epidemic prevention and control and strictly follow relevant regulations to jointly protect the city which we call home.
