
The executive chairman of the Fujian Chamber of Commerce in Thailand recently led a delegation to visit Xiamen, Fujian province.
Li Xiaoping, director of the city's Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, briefed the guests on Xiamen's latest economic and social development as well as its achievements in foreign exchanges.
Li appreciated the contributions made by the Fujian Chamber of Commerce in Thailand in promoting economic and trade cooperation between the two places.

Both sides promised to take the opportunities brought by the Belt and Road Initiative and further promote cooperation between Xiamen and Thailand in economy, trade and sister-city exchanges.

China has decided to extend its visa waiver policy to ordinary passport holders from Canada and the United Kingdom starting from Feb 17.
Forty-one new port-of-entry duty-free shops have been established nationwide, with Xiamen Xiang'an International Airport, Xiamen Wutong Passenger Wharf, and Xiamen International Cruise Center included on the list.
