According to the State Council, Xiamen has approved the regulations for 72-hour visa-free transits. The visa-free transit will be initially available to citizens of 51 countries. Any passenger from the list of 51 countries can benefit from the policy by submitting relevant documents and having an onwards flight (definite date and seat) to a third country. The jurisdiction of the visa-free area is the Xiamen administrative region.
According to the transit regulations, citizens in accordance with the conditions can enjoy the policy with his or her valid international travel certificate, visa of the destination country or region and airline ticket with a definite date, time and seat number.
If the applicant must stay in the city for more than 72 hours for any objective reasons, he or she should apply to the exit-entry administrative bureau of the Xiamen Public Security Department. Any applicant who stays in Xiamen for more than 72 hours without having obtained prior permission, leaves the Xiamen administrative region boundaries or leaves Xiamen from an unspecified frontier port, the local exit-entry administration department and frontier inspection station will implement punishments according to the rule of law.

Other countries in Europe (13):
Russia, Britain, Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania.
American countries (6):
The United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile.
Oceania countries (2):
Australia, New Zealand.
Asian countries (6):
South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Brunei, United Arab Emirates, Qatar.
China announced and implemented on May 15 a policy allowing visa-free entry of foreign tourist groups aboard cruise ships via all cruise ship ports along the country's coastline.
China and Georgia are set to waive visa requirements for travelers starting May 28.
