Roughly 20 million passengers have made the trip between Xiamen in Fujian province and Jinmen, a county in Taiwan close to the Chinese mainland, following the "three exchanges" between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan 10 years ago, local media reported on Dec 4.
Representatives from 17 overseas Chinese media visited Xiamen, Fujian province on Nov 23 to record the great changes the city has experienced since China's reform and opening-up four decades ago.
The Discovery Award at the Jimei x Arles International Photo Festival was announced on Sunday after much animated discussion between judges. Chinese artist Lei Lei won the award worth 200,000 yuan ($28,751) with his photographic work Weekend.
The mainland will continue to share opportunities and achievements with Taiwan, further cross-Straits economic and cultural cooperation, enabling more Taiwan enterprises to obtain benefits, a spokesperson said Wednesday.
