To promote CIFIT and the Xiamen Industry Exposition, the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Convention and Exhibition Affairs sent a delegation to visit Taiwan from Dec 2 to 8. The delegation, led by the bureau chief Wang Qiongwen, visited business associations such as the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association and the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry.
The data revealed that five overseas projects involved investment from Chinese enterprises in excess of $10 million, resulting in a combined investment of over $1 billion.
Li also said that Taiwan enterprises attending the expo can find opportunities for them to enter or expand in the vast mainland market, where they can get more exposure to international attention.
The 2016 expo will have six exhibition areas for machine tools, rubber and plastics, industrial robots and more, according to Wang Qiongwen, director of the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Convention and Exhibition Affairs, who confirmed the expo's focus on intelligent manufacturing.
The festival, which features 30km professional group walking, 15km amateur group walking and 5km family group walking, will attract about 10,000 walkers from home and abroad, including a number of Olympic champions, the organizers added.
