The city of Xiamen is conducting a competition to solicit concepts and ideas for the entry and exit signs of the stations of the city's upcoming subway system. The competition runs through April 20.
Work is currently underway on four lines with a total of more than 300 station entrances and exits. Event organizers stressed that winning designs should reference Xiamen's notable characteristics and its beauty. Judges will score the entries based on functionality, localization, aesthetics and visibility, among other criteria.
