The 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), set to run from Sept 8 to 11 in Xiamen, will feature a Global Cooperation Area spanning 12,000 square meters, double the size of the previous edition and the largest in recent years.
Over 30 overseas officials are expected to attend, with more than 80 countries participating, including 60 that will set up national pavilions. Finland and Saudi Arabia will serve as the Guest Countries of Honor.
The Global Cooperation Area will host United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), which will showcase flagship initiatives such as the World Investment Report, the World Investment Forum, and the blue economy project. The area is designed to foster an international investment network and support industrialization efforts in the Global South.
Finland's 300-sq-m pavilion will highlight the circular economy, energy transition, smart manufacturing, digital industry, health, and education, whereas Saudi Arabia will use its 475-sq-m pavilion to promote opportunities in energy, mining, advanced manufacturing, digital economy, and infrastructure.
Other national pavilions include Thailand, Serbia, and Slovenia. A dedicated EU-China cooperation area will focus on advanced manufacturing, digital technologies, and green industries, aiming to connect European capital with Chinese supply chains.
Over 10 countries and regions, including Finland, Saudi Arabia, and Italy, have confirmed promotional events to showcase their business climates and investment potential.
A dedicated roadshow area at the Xiamen International Expo Center will also host matchmaking sessions targeting Latin America, Central Asia, and Africa, facilitating direct talks between overseas investment agencies and Chinese enterprises.

China has extended its 240-hour visa-free transit policy and Hainan's 30-day visa-free entry policy to citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Vietnam, the National Immigration Administration said on Aug 20.
