The BRICS Forum on Partnership on New Industrial Revolution 2026 and its side events will take place in Xiamen from May 26 to 29.
Under the theme "Fostering an intelligent manufacturing ecosystem to accelerate the new industrial revolution", the forum will feature an opening ceremony, a main forum, and breakout sessions. Concurrently, a competition, an exhibition, and training programs will also be held.
As a platform for practical exchange and cooperation based in Xiamen, the forum aims to accelerate the digital, networked, and intelligent transformation of manufacturing in BRICS countries and other developing nations.
Delegates from 25 countries and relevant international organizations have confirmed their attendance. Ministerial delegations from competent authorities of countries including Indonesia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus will attend the forum.
The Ministry of Industry and Construction of Kazakhstan and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) will serve as the forum's guest-of-honor parties.
Of particular interest, the International Coalition of Intelligent Manufacturing will unveil a global cooperation initiative on intelligent manufacturing during the forum. Meanwhile, cities from China, South Africa, and Serbia will jointly launch a Partnership City Network on New Industrial Revolution. The China Centre for BRICS Industrial Competences is set to release the 2026 BRICS Industrial Cooperation Casebook.
In addition, the forum will host several side events, including the BRICS Industrial Innovation Contest award ceremony, the BRICS New Industrial Revolution Exhibition, and the BRICS New Industry "Golden Egret" Excellence Training Program.
The measures upgrade an earlier policy released in 2025 and are designed to make the process "more convenient, faster and easier" for foreign shoppers, according to an official notice.
