China announced the launch of the BRICS New Industry "Golden Egret" Excellence Scholarship ("Golden Egret" Scholarship) at the 17th BRICS Summit on July 6, 2025, which will support capacity building in sectors related to industry and telecommunications among BRICS countries.
As the second program under the "Golden Egret" Scholarship, the "2026 BPIC Training Program on Smart Manufacturing and Innovation-Driven Development (Spring Session)" will be held from May 21 to June 5 in China.
This program will feature an integrated "government, enterprises, academia, and research" approach. Participants will engage in lectures and interactive seminars on topics such as smart manufacturing and innovation-driven development in Xiamen, Hangzhou, and Shanghai.
They will also visit leading corporations such as Alibaba, Unitree Robotics, and OGAWA for on-site learning and attend major events such as the 2026 BRICS Forum on Partnership on New Industrial Revolution and the BPIC Industrial Project Matchmaking Exchange.
These activities will offer participants valuable insights into the achievements and best practices of BRICS countries in digital transformation, smart manufacturing, and green low-carbon technologies.
Applications are now open for the "2026 BPIC Training Program on Smart Manufacturing and Innovation-Driven Development (Spring Session)" until April 5. This program invites high-level talent — including government officials, industry elites, and academic leaders — from BRICS countries, BRICS partner nations, and other emerging markets and developing economies. All program-related training costs will be covered by the scholarship.
