Xiamen has prepared over 1,500 cultural and tourism events for this month's Spring Festival, with tradition meeting modernity and convenient inbound travel highlighting the city's international charm.

Xiamen continues to be a preferred destination for both domestic and international tourists during this festive period. According to the 2026 Spring Festival cultural and tourism consumption trend forecast by a leading domestic online travel platform, overall travel bookings for Xiamen during this year's holiday have increased by 60 percent year-on-year, while flight bookings have risen by 53 percent.

Meanwhile, Xiamen consistently ranks among the top 10 popular inbound travel destinations nationwide.

Among Xiamen's five most popular scenic spots for Spring Festival bookings, Gulangyu Island, Xiamen Botanical Garden, Zhonggu Cableway, Xiamen University (Siming Campus), and Hulishan Fortress remain the favorites.

Meanwhile, this year's "Xiamen Horticulture Expo Garden Lantern Festival" has officially opened.

This year, Xiamen will host the 21st regular session of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, marking the launch of the "Citywide ICH Year" from this Spring Festival onwards.

Additionally, Xiamen has introduced multilingual service guides for inbound tourists and set up English signage and volunteer service points at major scenic spots, further enhancing the travel experience for international visitors.

Xiamen has also issued consumption vouchers to further unleash the potential of cultural and tourism spending during the Spring Festival.
