With a long whistle blast, the CNC SERVAL departed its berth during the New Year inaugural sailing ceremony held at Xiamen Port's Haitian Terminal on Jan 17, marking the first call of CMA CGM's BMX service at the port in 2026. The event also officially launched the port's annual initiative to deepen port-shipping collaboration and expand its shipping network across Southeast Asia.

The BMX service is one of CMA CGM's key routes serving the Southeast Asian market, primarily calling at ports such as Manila, Davao, and Subic in the Philippines. The route operates reliably with a well-established cargo mix, exporting goods including daily necessities, footwear, and chemical materials.

As an important partner of Xiamen Port, CMA CGM continued to increase the density of its Southeast Asian network over the past year.

In 2025, Xiamen Port handled a total container throughput of 12.51 million TEUs. As a core terminal of the port's Silk Road Maritime and RCEP initiatives, Haitian Terminal achieved a container throughput of 2.86 million TEUs during the same period.

Currently, Haitian Terminal operates 50 Southeast Asian shipping routes, accounting for over 96 percent of Xiamen Port's total Southeast Asian network. These routes connect major trade hubs in countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
