The China Business to BRICS — BPIC Industry Matchmaking Event (China-Egypt) was held on Sept 22 in Cairo, Egypt, bringing together over 100 representatives from enterprises based in Xiamen, Fujian province, Chinese companies operating in Egypt, and Egyptian businesses for exchanges and discussions.
This event, hosted by the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution (PartNIR) Innovation Center (BPIC), aimed to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Egypt, facilitate the precise alignment of industries from both sides, and share development opportunities.
Wu Lijun, minister-counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Egypt, stated that China and Egypt have broad prospects for cooperation, with Xiamen's investment direction in Egypt aligning well with the country's practical needs for industrial revitalization and production localization.
During the roadshow session, participating Chinese frontier technology companies from the BPIC cooperation network, such as Suntar Environmental Technology, showcased their technological solutions and success cases in green environmental protection and modern agriculture.
Representatives from Egyptian companies, including Borex Glass Company, delivered presentations highlighting their core business operations and product advantages.
A total of three cooperation agreements were signed on-site, with many companies expressing their intention to engage in further in-depth discussions.
The BPIC and the China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone signed an MoU to explore the joint establishment of a platform for overseas expansion, aiming to collaboratively promote market expansion in Egypt for Chinese and BRICS businesses.
