A network-study member delegation from the Global Development Promotion Center of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) conducted an exchange program in Xiamen from May 10 to 16. Over 30 participants from Ethiopia, The Gambia, Laos, Nigeria, and South Sudan attended.
During the study program, the Foreign Affairs Office of the Xiamen Municipal People's Government actively sought guidance from the Global Development Promotion Center regarding the city's application process for the Global Development Project Pool.
The promotion and training session on the Global Development Project Pool was conducted on May 13. The session focused on introducing the Global Development Initiative (GDI) and the development of the Global Development Project Pool, while providing instructions to help Xiamen-based enterprises better prepare their applications.
The training also emphasized how to implement the GDI through international cooperation projects. The event attracted over 80 representatives from key Xiamen enterprises and institutions looking to expand abroad.
Representatives conducted field visits to Xiamen King Long Motor Group, Innovax, and Oba Group on May 12 to gain a first-hand understanding of their international cooperation practices and efforts to implement the GDI.
During their stay in Xiamen, the participants were invited to join the "Xiamen Now" international experience event. They visited the "Time Meets Island", China's first Minnan-themed immersive cultural attraction, to experience traditional Minnan (southern Fujian) culture.
China has launched a new pilot program to allow eligible enterprises greater access to overseas financing in support of green and low-carbon transformation projects, the country's foreign exchange regulator said on Aug 21.
To further streamline the experience, China is expanding tax refund stores, broadening the range of refundable goods, and refining refund procedures, ensuring an efficient and seamless shopping experience for global visitors.
