Abdullah Abulghaith, leader of the Yemeni Congregation for Reform and vice chairman of the Yemeni Consultative Council, led a delegation of 30 young politicians from Gulf Arab countries on a visit to Xiamen from Dec 1 to 2. The delegation members hail from Yemen, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain.
During their visit to Xiamen, they visited the BRICS Partnership on the New Industrial Revolution Innovation Center to learn about Xiamen's services for BRICS cooperation and its exploration of local practices in promoting global development initiatives, Hithium Energy Storage Technology Co Ltd to understand experiences and practices in cultivating and developing new productive forces, and Gulangyu Island to learn about the protection of world cultural heritage sites.
Members of the delegation said that Xiamen is an open, inclusive, and modern international city and that they look forward to using the visit as an opportunity to further strengthen cooperation with Xiamen in areas such as industrial collaboration, economic and trade relations, and cultural exchange. They hope to learn more about China's advanced experiences in modernization and work together to elevate practical cooperation between China and Arab countries.
China announced on Nov 22 the extension of its visa-exemption policy to nine more countries, including Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, and Japan, starting from the end of this month to the end of 2025.
