The 2024 China International Travel Fair International Travel Agents (Fujian) Connet Seminar "Sea-kissed Garden Enjoy Xiamen" Culture and Tourism Promotion was held at Jinsha Academy on Nov 27. During the event, travel operators from 15 countries and regions experienced Xiamen, which is known for its many beautiful gardens.
The academy not only boasts a unique architectural style and a rich cultural atmosphere, but it also houses the first map of all of China to reach Europe, serving as one of the foundational documents for European sinology research. The academy can be considered a bridge linking Chinese and foreign cultures.
The promotional event featured intangible cultural heritage (ICH) innovation and immersive promotional performances, allowing Chinese culture to shine on the international stage. The Xiamen urban life real scene ICH experience area in particular amazed the foreign guests.
The event promoted the intertwining of Xiamen's ecology, art, and life. Simultaneously, the Xiamen culture and tourism promotion team engaged in in-depth discussions with travel agents from various countries, elaborating on preferential product benefits and unique customized travel routes.
The top international tour guides from Xiamen, who are proficient in multiple languages including English and Japanese, shared firsthand experiences of urban life in Xiamen with visitors.
China has decided to extend its visa waiver policy to ordinary passport holders from Canada and the United Kingdom starting from Feb 17.
Forty-one new port-of-entry duty-free shops have been established nationwide, with Xiamen Xiang'an International Airport, Xiamen Wutong Passenger Wharf, and Xiamen International Cruise Center included on the list.
