The "China in Dialogue with the World: Storytelling Salon in Xiamen" exchange event took place in Xiamen from Nov 25 to 27.
This event, jointly organized by the China International Communications Group (CICG) Center for Europe and Africa and the Foreign Affairs Office of the Xiamen Municipal People's Government, focused on Xiamen's ecological civilization practices, providing a platform for Xiamen to showcase its image and facilitate dialogue between China and the world.
During the three-day event, 13 journalists and guests from over 10 countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, and France visited Xiamen. They toured locations such as Yundang Lake, Gaoqi Water Purification Plant, and Gulangyu Island, engaging in dialogues with domestic and international experts in the field of ecological conservation.
Their discussions focused on Xiamen's practices in constructing an ecological civilization, shedding light on the city's efforts and explorations in comprehensive ecological protection and restoration over the past 30 years.
This is the first time independent media blogger "France Fafa" has visited Xiamen. He said that he had always wanted to see the city, and during the few days he was here, he felt the city's strong emphasis on environmental protection and protecting the sea from pollution.
China announced on Nov 22 the extension of its visa-exemption policy to nine more countries, including Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, and Japan, starting from the end of this month to the end of 2025.
Chinese authorities recently released revised rules on foreign investor's strategic investment in listed companies in a move to encourage foreign investors to make long-term and value investments in the country.
