In recent years, Xiamen has continuously improved its "soft environment", attracting many overseas talents to work or start businesses in the city. And one of the reasons why some overseas talent choose to stay in Xiamen is rugby.

The Xiamen Typhoons RFC, founded in 2009, has won the cup, plate, and bowl championships in domestic amateur club invitation matches for the past several years. It has also attracted rugby enthusiasts from various industries, including foreigners from over 20 countries, such as the Netherlands, England, and South Africa, who have found a sense of belonging here.

Hasan from the Netherlands, who has had a passion for rugby since childhood, moved to China for work and currently serves as the coach for the women's team. His longstanding enthusiasm for English rugby is contagious, driving significant progress among the team through his systematic training methods.

Jimei University offering a rugby major, the successful hosting of the Xiamen Youth Beach Rugby Championship, and the Xiamen stop of the National Beach Rugby Substation Tournament all contribute to Xiamen becoming one of the top cities for English rugby in China.

With the establishment of a series of rugby platforms, Xiamen has now become an important hub for the sport in China. Rugby will also help improve Xiamen's "soft environment", making it a better place overall.
