Xiamen Party official meets delegation of European parties
A delegation of 14 young politicians from European parties, led by James O'Connor, Fianna Fáil TD, convenor of Ireland-China Parliamentary Friendship Group, Ireland, visited Xiamen from June 22 to 24.
Li Huiyue, deputy secretary of the CPC Xiamen Municipal Committee, met the delegation on June 24. He said Xiamen had a high degree of openness, a solid industrial foundation and an excellent business climate.
Noting that young people are important forces for international exchanges, Li called on the delegation members to take the opportunity to explore Xiamen, boost mutual understanding and learn from each other.
O'Connor said the visit to Xiamen had left a deep impression on him. He said that the delegation would use the visit as an opportunity to actively promote practical cooperation between their respective cities and Xiamen, especially in the areas of ecological protection, marine economy, trade and investment to promote shared development.
