China Daily reporter Martyn Joseph Newlands visited the Chinese white dolphin rescue and breeding base in Xiamen.
The Chinese white dolphin is an endangered species under national first-class protection in China.
Martyn also went to mangrove forests, once destroyed due to disordered aquaculture and extreme weather. The forests were restored and now have become a new tourist attraction.
