The 23rd China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) kicked off on Sept 8 in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province, and will run until Sept 11, attracting business leaders from all over the world.
Themed "Open and Integrated: Key to High-quality Development", the event aims to further expand bilateral investment and facilitate global development, showing the continuous efforts of the country to expand high-level opening-up to the world and boost the confidence of global investors.
The fair's total exhibition area this year spans an impressive 120,000 square meters and features over 1,000 institutions and enterprises from more than 100 countries and regions.
Special exhibition areas include the China Exhibition Area, China-Central Asian Countries Cooperation Exhibition Area, and "Two Countries, Twin Parks" Exhibition Area, among others. The event also showcases professional exhibition areas dedicated to intelligent manufacturing and digital economy, new energy and green innovation, and rural vitalization.
Brazil, Serbia, and Qatar are the guest countries at this year's CIFIT, with each country setting up larger national image pavilions and sending high-level government delegations. Additionally, Gansu province is the "Guest of Honor Province" and has a remarkable 720-sq-m pavilion showcasing 123 enterprises from six industries.

China announced and implemented on May 15 a policy allowing visa-free entry of foreign tourist groups aboard cruise ships via all cruise ship ports along the country's coastline.
