A photo exhibition celebrating the fifth anniversary of the flourishing friendship between Xiamen and Izmir, Turkey opened in Xiamen on April 18. The two became sister cities in January 2018.
With the theme of "Seaside, Sunshine and Beyond", the photo exhibition showcases the natural scenery, urban landscapes and cultural heritage items in Xiamen and Izmir in 64 works.
The two cities jointly planned and organized the event to attract visitors and further promote friendly exchanges.
Izmir is the third largest city in Turkey and boasts the second largest port in the country. It has active exchanges with Xiamen in the fields of economy and trade, tourism, and education and art, and their cooperation has achieved remarkable results.

China has decided to extend its visa waiver policy to ordinary passport holders from Canada and the United Kingdom starting from Feb 17.
Forty-one new port-of-entry duty-free shops have been established nationwide, with Xiamen Xiang'an International Airport, Xiamen Wutong Passenger Wharf, and Xiamen International Cruise Center included on the list.
