The five-day trip was jointly launched by the Xiamen International Travel Service Co, Xiamen Jianfa International Travel Service Group Co, and Xiamen Airlines International Travel Service in order to stimulate the overseas travel market.
Bali was chosen as the first destination for its convenient visa services and friendly entry policies.
The group consisting of nine tourists and a skilled tour guide is going to stay in a seaside five-star hotel, visit popular attractions and sample authentic local delicacies.
With the gradual recovery of outbound group tours, related authorities and enterprises have been optimizing the supply and service of tourism products in related destinations, according to Zhu Hanxiong, secretary general of the Xiamen Tourism Association's travel agency department.
"We also intend to roll out measures to advance the orderly development of the outbound market," Zhu added.
China announced and implemented on May 15 a policy allowing visa-free entry of foreign tourist groups aboard cruise ships via all cruise ship ports along the country's coastline.
China and Georgia are set to waive visa requirements for travelers starting May 28.
