From the beginning of this year, Xiamen enterprises have actively participated in exhibitions held at home and abroad to hunt for deals. Under the support of Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce, a great number of Xiamen enterprises have flocked to Italy for the Expo Riva Schuh, an international shoe exhibition.
The shoe exhibition is only one of the many exhibitions that have attracted Xiamen enterprises. From Jan 9 to 12, a toy, stationery and baby product exhibition was held in China's Hong Kong, and attracted a total of 34 representatives from 14 Xiamen enterprises.

During the four-day exhibition, which serves as the second largest one of its kind worldwide, Xiamen enterprises signed deals totaling $50 billion, and potential deals worth $150 billion.
According to Yang Song, general manager of Xiamen Baby Pretty Products Co, the company received inquiries from more than 100 purchasers, and signed about 40 orders with clients from different countries at the exhibition.
According to Zeng Huafa, general manager of Wecare Baby Product (Xiamen) Co, during the same exhibition, they received more than 80 inquiries, and took 15 orders worth $400,000 from an Israeli client. On top of that, Zeng said that the exhibition provided a platform for the company to build closer relationships with regular clients and search for new ones.
China announced and implemented on May 15 a policy allowing visa-free entry of foreign tourist groups aboard cruise ships via all cruise ship ports along the country's coastline.
China and Georgia are set to waive visa requirements for travelers starting May 28.
