At the conference, Wei Keliang, chairman of the Xiamen municipal committee of the CPPCC, made an address.
Wei said that in 2022, closely focusing on the study and implementation of the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Xiamen municipal committee of the CPPCC had worked hard on coordinating epidemic prevention and control measures, striving to boost the economic development of Xiamen and bringing wellbeing to residents in Xiamen.
According to Wei, the grand blueprint of comprehensively promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on a Chinese path to modernization has been drawn, and members of the Xiamen municipal committee of the CPPCC have been working diligently to fulfill their obligations.
Wei also said that Xiamen would update measures to enhance the effectiveness of specialized consultative bodies, and to take the lead in achieving socialist modernization in the future.
