
The Xiamen Service Center for Foreign Professionals Guanren Community Branch hosted a discussion on services for expats on Dec 17.
During the activity, several expats shared their experiences working and living in Xiamen, as well as stories about their participation in local community services.
They shared a common view that the Guanren Community has offered great support to help them adapt to local life.
During the discussion, expats also mentioned some problems in their daily life concerning medical treatment, vaccinations and health QR codes. They also offered advice for the Welcome to Xiamen, Guide for Expats, to help the Guanren Community and Xiamen better promote internationalization.
The Guanren Community is one of the residential areas with most expats in Xiamen. It is home to 1,536 foreign residents from 46 countries and regions.
The Xiamen Service Center for Foreign Professionals Guanren Community Branch was established on July 2021, and over the past year, the branch has hosted 29 Chinese-foreign neighbors exchange activities, offered 608 one-on-one consultation services, and provided professional psychological support to 439 expats.

China has decided to extend its visa waiver policy to ordinary passport holders from Canada and the United Kingdom starting from Feb 17.
Forty-one new port-of-entry duty-free shops have been established nationwide, with Xiamen Xiang'an International Airport, Xiamen Wutong Passenger Wharf, and Xiamen International Cruise Center included on the list.
