Dear foreign friends in Xiamen,
We hope everything goes well with you here.
Recently, Xiamen has been under increasing pressure to contain the epidemic outbreak when it's reported the locally-transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases for several consecutive days. The Omicron virus spreads more quickly than the virus that originally caused COVID-19, and there is risk that the virus might spread among the local community. To avoid putting extra burden on the staff working at the frontier combating COVID-19 and endangering our family and society let us all slow down, be calm, and refrain from going outside as much as possible.
At this special moment, the safety of our home depends on all of us, so please take the nucleic acid testing (NAT) as required. NAT is not only an important measure to detect the COVID-19 as early as possible but also a line of defense for your safety. Xiamen has carried out several consecutive rounds of mandatory NAT. It is our responsibility to participate in these NAT in a positive way, for the safety of all of you is the foundation of the safety of Xiamen.
Dear foreign friends, in the battle to fight COVID-19, there are no onlookers. Let us join hands to defeat the virus. With your understanding, support and cooperation, we have the confidence to win the war against the epidemic soon. At present, let us all stay at home as much as possible and if it's necessary to go out, please wear the facial mask and pay special attention to personal protection on the way. When the epidemic is over, we can go out again to enjoy the beauty of Xiamen, such as taking a walk at Xiamen Mountains-to-Sea Trail, visiting Gulangyu Island, sight-seeing at Huandao Road, enjoying the fragrance of coffee and tasting the delicious dishes at various restaurants.
Wish you good health and all the best!
