A Thai commodity festival co-hosted by the Royal Thai Consulate General in Xiamen and Xiamen Tianhong Mall Co kicked off on June 11 and will run until June 23, Xiamen Daily reported.
Pirawat Atsavapranee, consul general of Thailand in Xiamen, as well as officials from Thailand's consulate general in Guangzhou and the country's tourism bureau attended the launch ceremony.
As part of the 2022 Xiamen Consumption Festival, the fair will hold various promotional events both online and offline to stimulate consumption.
The event also features a series of experiential activities such as free samples and on-the-spot cooking by professional Thai chefs, aiming to offer Xiamen locals the most authentic tastes of Thai delicacies.
A spokesperson for the Xiamen Tianhong Mall said that all commodities, including dozens of high-quality and representative Thai fruits such as durians, mangosteens and coconuts, as well as more than 30 best-selling Thai products, such as rice, coconut juice, dried fruit, soy milk and facial masks, were purchased directly from the production areas.
Consumers can buy these products at all Tianhong Mall outlets and also place orders on the Tianhong App. Depending on the customers' locations, the goods will be delivered to their doorsteps within an hour.
