
The 2021 Jimei x Arles International Photo Festival will be held in Jimei district, Xiamen, East China's Fujian province from Nov 26 to Jan 3, according to festival organizers at a news conference that was held in Beijing on July 12.
The festival, which emphasizes boosting cooperation between the city of Arles in southern France and China in photography, will present 25 exhibitions and 70 artists from China, France, Singapore, Brazil, the Czech Republic, as well as Malaysia.
With its main venues being at Civic Square and Three Shadows Xiamen Photography Art Centre, the festival will offer photography enthusiasts a wide range of events and activities, including exhibition tours guided by artists and curators, book signings, seminars, workshops, as well as cultural performances.
The 2021 event marks the seventh time that the Les Rencontres d'Arles in France, which is considered equivalent to the Cannes International Film Festival in the photography world, to cooperate with Jimei district in Xiamen to offer a golden opportunity for photography buffs to enjoy works from across the globe.
