The 15th China Xiamen International Buddhist Items and Crafts Fair (Autumn Edition) and the China Xiamen International Tea Industry Fair 2020 (Autumn Edition) opened in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province on Oct 15. Both will run until Oct 19.
The Buddhist fair covers an exhibition area of 115,000 square meters, with more than 1,200 companies taking part.
The products on show are divided into 10 categories, including Buddha statues and niches, temple buildings, incense and appliance, candles and appliance, as well as ritual instruments.
Notable products include an 8.18-meter vessel and a 6.18-m statue of Buddha. A Quanzhou company has also created an ancient-style wooden building in the exhibition hall.
The tea fair, covering an area of 75,000 sq m with 3,800 standard booths, is showcasing tea, tea sets, packages and relevant products from Nepal, Sri Lanka, Germany, Japan, Malaysia and South Korea.
Despite the COVID-19 outbreak, the number of businesspeople signing up for the event has increased by 30 percent compared to last year.
Various promotional activities, interviews and discussions are being held both online and offline, allowing more people to take part in the tea gala.
