
Only one day is left for the 2020 China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT) to be held in Xiamen, Fujian province from Sept 8 to 11.
Highlighting new economy and the Belt and Road Initiative, the 2020 CIFIT will be held both online and offline.
The offline event will have an exhibition area of 110,000 square meters and 16 exhibition zones for exhibitors from more than 40 countries and regions, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, and Japan.
The online CIFIT will be launched on Sept 8, the first day of the event, and offer services such as exhibitions, project matchmaking, investment negotiations, forums and symposiums, and contract signing.
CIFIT, held every September in Xiamen, is an international investment event aimed at promoting bilateral and multilateral economic exchange and cooperation. It also serves to showcase China's achievements in reform and opening-up.
China has decided to extend its visa waiver policy to ordinary passport holders from Canada and the United Kingdom starting from Feb 17.
Forty-one new port-of-entry duty-free shops have been established nationwide, with Xiamen Xiang'an International Airport, Xiamen Wutong Passenger Wharf, and Xiamen International Cruise Center included on the list.
