
1. International exchange helps improve medical services in Xiamen

Lin Na, senior investigator of the foreign affairs office of Xiamen, Fujian province, visited the city's women and children's hospital on June 12 to discuss international cooperation with the hospital's leaders.
The hospital established a partnership with the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, the United States in 2005 and has since organized a number of events, including seminars and summit forums related to obstetrics and gynecology.
The partnership has helped enhance the hospital's medical services and international prestige, and strengthened the friendship between Xiamen and Baltimore, said Lin.
This year marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of sister-city ties between Xiamen and Baltimore. The foreign affairs office plans to strengthen bilateral cooperation via online conferences amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
2. FAO official inspects Xiamen C&D Group Co

Kong Suting, deputy director of the foreign affairs office of Xiamen, Fujian province visited Xiamen C&D Group Co on June 17 to inspect the company's management of official overseas trips and international businesses amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
Zheng Yongda, chairman of C&D, said that the company continues to develop and is making efforts to improve its management system and train employees in foreign-related affairs.
Kong commended C&D for taking advantage of supporting policies introduced by the foreign affairs office over the past few years to seize upon market opportunities and accelerate its development.
She promised that the foreign affairs office would continue to help the company expand into overseas markets and improve its international competitiveness.
China has launched a new pilot program to allow eligible enterprises greater access to overseas financing in support of green and low-carbon transformation projects, the country's foreign exchange regulator said on Aug 21.
To further streamline the experience, China is expanding tax refund stores, broadening the range of refundable goods, and refining refund procedures, ensuring an efficient and seamless shopping experience for global visitors.
