A delegation from the foreign affairs office of Xiamen, Fujian province visited Xiamen Air on June 3 to learn about the company's work in foreign affairs.
The airline was granted approval power for official outbound trips in June 2019. Since then, the company has independently approved overseas trips for 1,619 people and trips to Hong Kong and Macao for 970 people, significantly saving costs for the company in expanding its overseas markets.
Li Xiaoping, director of the foreign affairs office, said that Xiamen Air has shouldered its responsibilities during the battle against the novel coronavirus outbreak.
He promised that the office will provide continuous support to help promote the high-quality development of the company.
2. Norwegian company thanks Xiamen for support amid pandemic

Yu Hao, deputy director of the foreign affairs office of Xiamen, Fujian province, visited Alu Rehab (Xiamen) Co, a Norwegian-funded wheelchair producer in Haicang district on June 3.
Jan Broni, chief executive officer of the company, welcomed Yu and expressed his gratitude for the office's support during the novel coronavirus outbreak.
"Xiamen boasts highly efficient administrative procedures, creating a great development environment for companies," said Broni. "The government has taken effective measures to help us keep operating amid pandemic."
At the meeting, Yu learned about the company's currently development situation and asked for advice regarding government services and Xiamen's investment environment.
3. XMFAO offers practice opportunities to college students

Yao Jianhong, deputy director of the foreign affairs office of Xiamen (XMFAO), Fujian province, visited Xiamen University (XMU) on June 4 to learn about XMU's disease prevention work and international cooperation on anti-epidemic measures.
According to Yao, a group of outstanding students and teachers from XMU volunteered to provide translation services during the city's fight against the novel coronavirus outbreak.
The office is willing to offer more real-world practice opportunities to help XMU train students and promote international exchange.
China announced and implemented on May 15 a policy allowing visa-free entry of foreign tourist groups aboard cruise ships via all cruise ship ports along the country's coastline.
China and Georgia are set to waive visa requirements for travelers starting May 28.
