The coastal city of Xiamen in East China's Fujian province donated its third batch of anti-epidemic supplies to friendship cities to help them contain COVID-19, local media reported on April 21.
A total of 50,000 N95 medical protective masks, arranged by the Foreign Affairs Office of the Xiamen Municipal Government, will be sent to Sasebo in Japan, the state of Jalisco in central Mexico, and Foz do Iguacu in southern Brazil.
To date, Xiamen has sent three batch of donations to its friendship and sister cities across the world, and local authorities said that the fourth batch of donations is already being prepared.
Due to the increasingly severe epidemic situation around the world, Xiamen will keep close communication with international friendship and sister cities to provide as much assistance as it can while continuing the city's own epidemic prevention and control efforts.
