A photo exhibition was held in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province on Nov 1 to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the establishment of sister-city relations with Nice, France and will run for 10 days.
The exhibition, organized by the Foreign Affairs Office in Xiamen and Xiamen Library, showcased more than 70 photos displaying friendly exchanges between the two cities and scenes of Nice.
Exchanges between the two cities can be traced back to the 1980s, when Xiamen University inked a cooperation agreement with the University of Nice and experts from XMU started attending the French university for further study.
In 2014, Xiamen established sister-city relations with Nice. Over the past five years, the two cities have conducted frequent exchanges in culture, education, tourism, trade and urban construction, making them role models for cooperation between Chinese and French local governments.
