The Foreign Affairs Office of Xiamen in East China's Fujian province recently organized a tour for foreign diplomats and entrepreneurs in the city.
They visited Shanghang and Changting counties in Longyan city, Fujian province, as well as the cities of Ganzhou and Ruijin in Jiangxi province hoping to see the many historical landmarks, including the site of the Gutian Conference, which was held after the Nanchang Uprising, and the site of the former Soviet government of CPC, to witness the prosperous development of old revolutionary base areas in China and explore cooperation.
The tour was sponsored by the Foreign Affairs Offices of the Fujian and Jiangxi Provincial Governments and organized by the Foreign Affairs Offices of the Xiamen Municipal Government, Ganzhou Municipal Government and Longyan Municipal Government.

China has decided to extend its visa waiver policy to ordinary passport holders from Canada and the United Kingdom starting from Feb 17.
Forty-one new port-of-entry duty-free shops have been established nationwide, with Xiamen Xiang'an International Airport, Xiamen Wutong Passenger Wharf, and Xiamen International Cruise Center included on the list.
