The 2019 China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT) and the Belt & Road Investment Conference (BRIC) opened in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province, on Sept 8.
The event highlights the cooperation among countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and seeks win-win results with its attendees.
The four-day event is expected to attract 100,000 merchants and 3,000 enterprises from over 120 countries and regions.
The 2019 CIFIT has allocated 130,000 square meters and 6,000 booths for pavilions featuring investment, industrial investment promotion, and trade between countries along the Silk Road route, welcoming more than 40 countries and regions, including its guest country and province of honor – Serbia and Shanxi, as well as 1,500 companies from home and abroad.
CIFIT, approved by the State Council of the People's Republic of China, takes place every September in Xiamen. It is currently China's only international investment promotion event aimed at facilitating bilateral investment.
