Julius Caesar Aragon Flores, consul general of the Philippines in Xiamen, gave a group of artworks from his country as a gift to the Research School for Southeast Asian Studies at Xiamen University on July 1.
The donated items included paintings, books, and traditional textiles which display the characteristic culture and art of the Philippines.
Flores regaled teachers and students from the research school with the key features and stories behind the donation.
He invited students from the research school to visit the Philippines to conduct art and cultural exchanges.
The consul general also discussed the organization of the upcoming Southeast Asian Dessert Festival with the research school.
