Foreign students studying in Xiamen no longer need to provide introduction letters, and may apply directly to the school, according to the foreign affairs office of Xiamen.
It will also become more convenient for high-level overseas talents to work and live in Xiamen.
The foreign affairs office has commissioned the city's science and technology institute to open a work permit acceptance window for foreigners.
A visa (residence permit) notification for high-level overseas talents can be issued to qualified high-level overseas talents (category A) directly when they are applying for a work permit at the window.
