A delegation of 30 people from Hong Kong Social and Welfare Support Workers Union visited Xiamen, Fujian province from Nov 2 to 4.
Zha Zhongming from the city's Civil Affairs Bureau briefed them on the basic situation of social work in Xiamen.
The Hong Kong delegation also visited Xinglong Community, one of Taiwan businessmen communities in the city and Guanren Community, which houses more than 1,400 expatriates from 50 countries and regions during their stay in Xiamen.

China has decided to extend its visa waiver policy to ordinary passport holders from Canada and the United Kingdom starting from Feb 17.
Forty-one new port-of-entry duty-free shops have been established nationwide, with Xiamen Xiang'an International Airport, Xiamen Wutong Passenger Wharf, and Xiamen International Cruise Center included on the list.
