The third museum in Xiamen, rebuilt from Terminal 2 of the city's Gaoqi Airport, consists of four parts with a total area of 10,000 square meters: an exhibition area, a Red Dot Design salon, a Red Dot Design School and a Design Library.
The Red Dot Design salon, the first in the world, is equipped with a discussion room, a photostudio and a pop-up store of independent designers to offer designers a place to share their innovative ideas and make them into reality.
The first worldwide Red Dot Design School aims to grow into the most innovative and influential design community in China by inviting 100 judges of the German award to give classes.
The museum is open to the public from 10 am to 6 pm from Tuesdays to Sundays.
