A delegation of 11 journalists from Uzbekistan's mainstream media visited Xiamen, Fujian province from Oct 26 to 28, after visiting Beijing and Fuzhou at the invitation of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.
The purpose of their journey to the city was to learn about its economic and social development as well as to promote exchanges between the two sides.
They visited Huihe Stone Culture Park, Qian Teahouse as well as Gulangyu Island to experience special local stone carving, tea culture and the city's beautiful view.
China has decided to extend its visa waiver policy to ordinary passport holders from Canada and the United Kingdom starting from Feb 17.
Forty-one new port-of-entry duty-free shops have been established nationwide, with Xiamen Xiang'an International Airport, Xiamen Wutong Passenger Wharf, and Xiamen International Cruise Center included on the list.
