A delegation of five parliamentary representatives from Nairobi, capital of Kenya visited Xiamen, Fujian province from Sept 18 to 20.
Shao Yuqin, deputy director of the Chinese city's Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, briefed them on the basic situations of Xiamen.
These Kenyan delegates gave a thumbs up to the city's rapid economic development and its marvelous achievements. They expected to promote the exchanges and cooperation between the two cities.
The delegation visited Xiamen Planning and Exhibition Hall, Xiamen Free Trade Zone, and the city's famous scenic spots, including Gulangyu Island, Zhongshan Road and Hulishan Fortress during their three-day trip.
