A total of 1,022 volunteers from local universities will offer high quality service to participants of the 2018 CIFIT China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT) that will take place in Xiamen, Fujian province from September 8 to 11, according to a training meeting for volunteers held on Aug 30 in Xiamen.
Wang Qiongwen, deputy director of conference affairs department of CIFIT's organizing committee and director of Xiamen's Bureau of Convention and Exhibition Affairs, detailed the latest preparation and highlights of the upcoming event.
Wang hoped that the volunteers will cherish the opportunity to better serve CIFIT participants from home and abroad, while also seeking self-improvement.
Wang Ying from Xiamen University, on behalf of the 1,022 volunteers, promised to offer the best service during the 2018 CIFIT at the training meeting.
These volunteers are from Xiamen University, Jimei University and Xiamen University of Technology and they received a series of practical training at the meeting touching on diplomatic etiquette and appropriate appearance, as well as practicing their oral English.
China announced and implemented on May 15 a policy allowing visa-free entry of foreign tourist groups aboard cruise ships via all cruise ship ports along the country's coastline.
