Teenagers from Xiamen No 2 Middle School took first place in the 2018 Xiamen International Youth Football Tournament, local media reported on Aug 2.
After losing by only one goal to the Sunshine Coast team from Australia in the final of last tournament, the Xiamen teenagers beat their counterparts from Qingdao, East China's Shandong province in this year's final by three goals to nil.
Last tournament's champion ranked fourth this year, with third place going to South Korea's Busan team.
Eight football teams were invited this year and the other four teams were Germany's Trier team, teams from China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Shanxi and Shenzhen.
The tournament was held by Xiamen's Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, the Xiamen Friendship Association and the Education Bureau of Xiamen, which invite teenage football teams from the city's international sister cities and Chinese cities to participate.
Last tournament was held in 2016.
