A delegation of 10 journalists from mainstream media in Indonesia's Bali island visited Xiamen from May 2 to 4 to promote cultural and educational exchanges between China and Indonesia.
The delegation visited the coastal city's fully automatic container terminal, the first of its kind in China, its planning and exhibition hall and Shaopowei, one of the must-see places in Xiamen.
They also experienced the special charm of world cultural heritages on Gulangyu island.
The head of the delegation said that he appreciated Xiamen's protection of traditional culture while developing a modern economy.
The delegation headed for other cities in Fujian province after their stay in Xiamen to learn more about China's economic and social development.
