A shop for products imported from South Jeolla Province, the Republic of Korea, is put into service in Xiamen, Fujian province on March 23, according to Xiamen Daily.
The shop mainly serves the province's agricultural and sideline products as well as its aquatic products.
The first batch of more than 100 kinds of products are set to hit shelves in succession in the near future, including sea sedge, condiments, green plum products, wines, drinks, cosmetics and makeups.
As the first barn of ROK, South Jeolla Province has an abundance of agricultural and sideline products and aquatic products.
The ROK import shop is the second one established by Xiamen Seashine Group, a state-owned company engaged in offering basic livelihood goods. The first one is the New Zealand import shop.
Up to now, the Group has imported hundreds of high quality products from Europe, America, South Asia and ROK.
China has decided to extend its visa waiver policy to ordinary passport holders from Canada and the United Kingdom starting from Feb 17.
Forty-one new port-of-entry duty-free shops have been established nationwide, with Xiamen Xiang'an International Airport, Xiamen Wutong Passenger Wharf, and Xiamen International Cruise Center included on the list.
