After attending the opening ceremony of the seminar, Juntong met with Zhuang Jiahan, mayor of Xiamen, and was briefed on the social and economic development of Xiamen and the close exchanges between Xiamen and Thailand.
Zhuang said that Xiamen is brimming with development opportunities since it was designated as one of the earliest special economic zones in China. After years of development, Xiamen has become well known for its innovation and entrepreneurship and a beautiful garden city with perfect harmony between man and nature.

The mayor expressed his wishes for more cooperation between Xiamen and Thailand in sectors such as trade, tourism, technology, and education.
China has launched a new pilot program to allow eligible enterprises greater access to overseas financing in support of green and low-carbon transformation projects, the country's foreign exchange regulator said on Aug 21.
